About this Camp
Automotive Camp
Do you like cars and trucks? Would you like to learn a little more about how they work and how to take care of them? Join us in a real-world experience as we look at the fundamentals of vehicle operation, from the engine down to the tires. You will learn how to use basic automotive tools, how to check fluids, how to check tires, how to perform a multi-point inspection, how to change engine oil, how to change a flat tire, how to inspect brakes, and how to perform these procedures safely. There will be some classroom time to discuss automotive theory; however, most of the time will be spent performing hands-on tasks. In addition to providing participants with the opportunity to learn more about their own vehicles, or future vehicles for those that don't have one yet, the course will provide a glimpse into the automotive repair industry for those that might want to consider this as a career.
